The following photographs were taken during the first three days of the annual Treffen MGF trip which eventually ends up in Berlin before making its way back to the UK via Amsterdam. Work commitments meant I could only take part in these three days, but I did not go home disappointed, the driving was demanding but immensely enjoyable at the same time, I met for the first time some of the regular Treffeners who helped the new boy along with advice on the do’s and don’ts convoy driving and more importantly how to survive the Nurburgring even at my modest speeds !. The hotels used were excellent, with first class food, which after an enjoyable but tiring day behind the wheel was much appreciated many thanks Ted and Luc. Thanks to Erik & Fran for the second days route and the two bottles of Belgian beer and a big thank you to everyone else for you patience with my somewhat diffident approach to overtaking during the first day, I think I picked up the required technique pretty quickly even though I say so myself !!
This account is a first draft of my web report, pictures uploaded first ( that is my specialist area ) captions will follow as soon as I can work out where and when the pictures were taken ! sometimes we were driving along and passing between Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany and back again with the result I was not sure quite where we were !
